Rhinoplasty in Turkey

About This Treatment

Rhinoplasty — commonly referred to as a nose job — is one of the most technically demanding procedures in aesthetic surgery, and one of the most transformative. Whether the motivation is cosmetic, functional, or both, the outcome depends heavily on the surgeon’s skill and their understanding of what you’re actually trying to achieve. This is not a procedure where “good enough” is acceptable.

The surgery reshapes the bone, cartilage and soft tissue of the nose to improve its proportion, symmetry or function — or all three. Common reasons people seek rhinoplasty include a prominent dorsal hump, a wide or asymmetrical tip, a nose that doesn’t sit well with the rest of the face, or breathing difficulties caused by a deviated septum. In many cases, aesthetic and functional concerns are addressed in the same procedure.

Turkey has developed a strong reputation for rhinoplasty specifically — the volume of cases performed means surgeons accumulate experience at a pace that is difficult to match in markets where the procedure is less accessible. At Medivoyage, we are selective about who we work with. The surgeons in our network are chosen based on their training, their results and their communication — because how well your surgeon listens is just as important as how well they operate.

A thorough pre-operative consultation is essential, and it’s something we take seriously. Before any procedure, your surgeon will discuss your concerns in detail, review reference images if you have them, and use imaging tools to show you a projected outcome. Our team supports this process and can help bridge any communication gap. You should never feel rushed or vague about what’s been agreed.

The surgery itself typically takes two to four hours under general anaesthesia. You’ll stay in Turkey for around five to seven days post-operatively — the first few days involve swelling and bruising around the eyes, which is normal. A splint is worn for approximately one week. Most patients feel comfortable returning to work and social settings within ten to fourteen days, though final results — as swelling fully resolves — become visible over six to twelve months.

This depends on both the surgical approach and the clarity of the brief. The surgeons we work with are experienced in producing results that are proportionate and in harmony with the rest of the face — not results that look obviously operated on. During consultation, your surgeon will assess your facial structure and discuss what is realistically achievable, rather than simply agreeing to every request. Honest guidance at this stage leads to better outcomes.

Yes. A septorhinoplasty — which combines cosmetic reshaping with correction of a deviated septum or other internal structural issues — is a common and well-established procedure. If you have both aesthetic and functional concerns, they can often be addressed in a single surgery. This is worth discussing during your consultation even if breathing hasn’t been your primary reason for enquiring.

In closed rhinoplasty, all incisions are made inside the nostrils, leaving no visible scarring. In open rhinoplasty, a small incision is made across the columella (the strip of tissue between the nostrils), giving the surgeon greater visibility and access — particularly useful for more complex reshaping. Your surgeon will recommend the appropriate approach based on the changes being made. Both techniques, in experienced hands, produce excellent results.
